Series Goals

  • AI in the Law

    Students will understand the impact AI is having on the theory and practice of the law, enabling them to actively participate in determining the future of AI's influence in the law, advise their clients about AI concerns, and engage in conversations determining the future of AI in society.

  • AI as Statistics

    Students will understand the core statistics, metrics, and tools used to evaluate AI performance, enabling them to think critically about the feasibility, relevance, and sufficiency of various accuracy and fairness metrics.

  • Advanced Topics

    Our Advanced courses will provide deep dives into topical and relevant subjects, allowing our students greater and more comprehensive understanding of complex topics at the intersection of AI and the law.

Instructor

AI Ethicist | Founder Masheika Allgood

Masheika Allgood is an AI Ethicist and the founder of AllAI Consulting, LLC, a platform for providing AI education across various industries to people with non-tech and non-AI backgrounds. She served as a Board Member of, and wrote the Technical Best Practices Product Management section for, the Foundation for Best Practices in Machine Learning. She is an active member of the IEEE where she recently led a subgroup that was tasked with writing the Organizational Capacity Standards for Standard 3119 - the Standard for the Procurement of Artificial Intelligence and Automated Decision Systems. Masheika also taught Ethics in AI Product Design for the Fully Employed MBA Program at UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business. Masheika's first foray into AI Ethics was as the founder and lead of NVIDIA's first AI Ethics Workgroup. Masheika holds an LL.M in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from the George Washington University School of Law, a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University, and a Masters in International Business from Florida International University.
